About Us
The purpose of the Tennessee Baptist Conference of the Deaf (TBCD) is to promote church attendance, teaching, training, and Christian fellowship among deaf individuals in Tennessee and through the Southern Baptist Convention; to bring together, unify, and counsel those of like faith and practice. TBCD accepts the Holy Scriptures as the all-sufficient rule for faith and practice.
TBCD Membership is composed of deaf and hearing individuals who are members of a local Tennessee Southern Baptist Church with a deaf ministry. For the state conference, TBCD members must be elected by their Church to be a messenger to the conference. Other deaf and hearing individuals may attend TBCD as visitors without membership priviledges.
TBCD is an auxillary of the Tennessee Baptist Convention (TBC) and cooperates to the fullest extent with TBC, the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC), and the Southern Baptist Conference of the Deaf (SBCD).
